Advanced Retail Kiosk For Grocery Stores

The "IM-1" is both an advanced customer service "smart" kiosk as well as a full service loyalty and data mining tracking program for store managers with a web based interface.

The purpose of the IM-1 kiosk for retail is to give as much customer service user functionality to the customers while they are in the store to make their shopping task easy, coupled with functionality to protect their health, and learning technology to make their shopping even easier as time goes on.

It is an interface between the customers and the store that issues the customers absolutely all of the information that they are looking for, such as location of products, and a map printout on how to find those products, but also keeps in contact with those customers even after they get home by emailing them their next shopping list, which is automatically generated based upon their past purchases. Have you ever left the store and forgot to pickup batteries, or pancake syrup? Not any more.

The "IM-1" utilizes RFID technology, and can be set to facilitate the identification of customers as they walk in a given store, have a character on the kiosk greet them personally and bring forth a customized, useful, personalized marketing and/or informational message for each individual based upon the customers past purchases, general demographic, or store managers choice.

The program has a built in artificial intelligence forecasting statistics program which can keep track of a customer's shopping habits, and preferences so that the kiosk can better serve the customer over time. The kiosk learns about the customer's consumption rate as well, and can inform the consumer via email if they are out of stock of particular items at home, including if they are running low on their prescription drugs.

The advanced kiosk can also notify customers via email or SMS text if a product recall has occurred concerning any product in which they have purchased in the past. This occurs immediately, as the IM-1 is directly connected to the Federal Drug Administration information system.

Kiosk User Functionality

The IM-1 allows a user to navigate through the systems via touch screen to build a shopping list, find the locations of products, and be directed toward those products., or a specific product, which is merchandise included in the individual's list of preferences. This is done to maximize the internal processes of an individual which leads them to make a purchase of an item, theoretically artificially increasing Economic Demand for any given product.

Web Based Manager Interface Functionality


After logging onto the secure SenSee Web Portal, any one in your organization from store managers, to the IT department can adjust all of the settings for a group of kiosks, or a specific kiosk.

From there, an individual can select a single or group of products to promote on the kiosk by not only displaying that product on each individual's suggested shopping list as a manager special, but also have that product show up on each way finding map and printout that an in-store consumer takes with them. Messages can also be printed out on each consumers map and shopping list printout based upon a particular demographic. This is one of the reasons why we call it the IM-1, or Interactive Marketing 1, because the consumer interacts with the kiosk which automatically creates their next marketing message the next time that they come in, based upon their past purchases, along with the store interacting with the kiosk as well to bridge the in-store communication gap between the customer and the store.
